Pole Fitness Classes
Pole Fitness itself is a sport and a skill, it incorporates both Gymnastics and Modern Dance as well and Strength, flexibility and confidence.
There are endless varieties of tricks that can be performed in a choreographed routine. You will be able to learn many of the Pole skills through practise, the skills included are SPINS, CLIMBS, STATIC POSES AND INVERTS.
Exotic dance is what some people think when they hear about Pole Dancing but it has since evolved from something performed in strip clubs to a form of art . It is now a recognised form of exercise. Pole Dancing is an aerobic workout, for both strength and toning. Participants can expect toning from head to toe and an increase in muscle definition all over especially in the arms, stomach and thighs. For those who are interested in statistics, a good session can burn up to 400 calories per hour. That’s two Mars bars!
It is known that physical exertion has a positive effect on the sensory areas of the brain, causing it to release endorphins and serotonin. These are hormones which give you a feeling of happiness, they are also known as the body’s own natural pain killer!
It helps by increasing flexibility, improving your posture and overall fitness, whilst enjoying fun dance moves, and all without wondering what you look like. The good news is that you don’t need to be extremely fit or flexible when you first start, you can gradually build up your skills, strength and flexibility. It is suitable for any figure, of any age or any fitness level.
The feedback we have received, particularly from those who have never tried it before is that it is an enjoyable way of keeping fit and burning calories. So why not give pole fitness a whirl...........
We like to keep the class sizes small, to give you the best value for money. Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 3 people per pole. Our lessons are 1hr long and inclusive of a concise warm up and cool down. Small groups and private lessons are also available.
Booking is essential.
